LASA Science Olympiad
Welcome to the website of the Science Olympiad Club at the Liberal Arts and Science Academy (LASA) in Austin, Texas!
Established in 2005, we have finished in the top 5 at State every year, and placed as high as 3rd in the nation.
For the 2024-2025 season, more information about practices and tournaments will come throughout the summer and into the fall semester. Make sure to fill out the contact form (linked above) so you don't miss out on any updates.
The rules for this season have not been released.
Science Olympiad is a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of K-12 science education, increasing interest in science, creating a technologically-literate workforce and providing recognition for outstanding achievement by both students and teachers. These goals are achieved by participating in Science Olympiad tournaments and non-competitive events, incorporating Science Olympiad into classroom curriculum and attending teacher training institutes.

Every year we travel to competitions in and out of Texas, and to prepare for these competitions we need materials for build devices and textbooks to study.
In order to raise money for travel, hotel, and material expenses, we hold a fundraiser every December where we give out free mistletoe and ask for small donations. If you'd like to come out, we appreciate your support!
